Your business is unique. Your software should be too.
A small practice in Atlantic Beach, Florida, building custom software for businesses that were priced out of it until recently.
Why we do this
You shouldn't have to reshape the way you work around someone else's software simply because a custom solution was once too expensive or out of reach. The rapid evolution of technology, especially AI, is changing that. Sophisticated, highly tailored software can now be built for small businesses at a fraction of the cost and complexity it once required.
The challenge is that AI itself can be difficult to harness. It feels powerful and unpredictable at once, and learning to use it well takes time most businesses don't have. That is where we come in. We use AI as a tool rather than a gimmick, to build software around the way your business actually operates, tailored to what you need now and designed to evolve as you grow.
How we work
- We tell you the truth, even when it costs us the work.
- If the thing slowing you down is a person or a policy rather than a process, we will say so instead of selling you a tool for it. If the job needs a platform we don't work in, we will tell you and point you somewhere better.
- We build it so you can run it.
- Handover is the deliverable. You should be able to change a paragraph or add a page without calling us. We would rather you needed us less.
- Nothing gets built on a verbal request and appears on an invoice later.
- Additional work is written up and approved before it starts, with its own scope, fee, and schedule. No surprises at the bottom of a bill.
- The right version is the default, not an upgrade.
- Accessibility and the quality bar are how we build, not a line item you decide whether to buy.
- Small things are on us, and we will show you what they were.
- Little requests get handled without a bill. They still appear on the invoice at zero, so you can see what was included rather than wondering.
Who you are working with
I'm Joshua Burke. I started as a print and graphic designer on Florida DOT public campaigns and taught myself engineering by way of interface graphics. That is 17+ years of front-end work on top of a much longer background in traditional and digital art.
Most recently I was Front End Architect at helloJute, where I owned the motion layer across roughly 200 call sites and led the front end of a React 19 and TypeScript rebuild spanning 350+ components. Before that, Staff Front End Engineer at VelocityEHS on a platform serving more than 10 million users, where I unified nine products under a single design language and mentored a six-person team.
Visual craft and engineering rigor rarely arrive together. The automation work is the same instinct pointed at a different problem: find the tedious, repetitive thing, and make it stop being someone's job.
